31 Days of Spooktober Reads & Eats – Day 25

Day 25 – Bitten by Kelley Armstrong

Werewovles — I’m drawn to these stories as an extension of my fascination with pack life. Admittedly, the books never tend to be exactly what I’m looking for since they’re often heavy on (toxic) romance, but I’m drawn in nonetheless. If you, like me, wonder what it would be like to be part of pack, Bitten delivers. It also delivers on the cool, sexy, tough girl trope, if you’re into that. Elena is the world’s only female werewolf, and while she’s done some work to separate herself from that isolating and violent world, a sudden uprising of the mutts (pack-less werewolves) pulls her back in. Before long, she’s reminded how good it feels to tear out a throat.

Recipe: Breadstick Bones because even wolves need to balance their calcium levels (no really, I read that’s why wolves eat bones!)
