31 Days of Spooktober Reads & Eats – Day 24

Day 24 – The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving

As a classic tale that clocks in at less than 100 pages, it’s well worth your time to give this one a go. Ideally, under the light of a full moon, for added affect. Great for any lover of lit; and if horror isn’t really your thing, that’s okay, because this one wasn’t as spooky as I was expecting. Ichabod Crane is drawn to the legends that haunt the small village of Sleepy Hollow — the woman in white, the late night shrieks, the headless horseman. But on a late night walk, he’ll find out they might be more than legends, after all.

Recipe: Caramel Popcorn Trail Mix because it’s a good reminder not to wander off-path in the dark wood.
