Recipe: Quick and Easy Super Breakfast

I get bored of breakfast foods really easily, and I’m always looking for ways to switch it up. My criteria, though, is that it’s quick to make, fills me up, and has some nutrients. This is my latest creation. It’s very vegan friendly too!

Super Breakfast

What you need:

  • A blender
  • A banana
  • A yogurt or yogurt substitute (~ 100 ml)
  • 1/4 cup of milk or milk substitute
  • 1 tsp matcha powder
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries (or favourite berry blend)
  • 1/4 cup of granola or trail mix (OPIONAL)

What to do:

  1. In a blender, add:
    1. Half a banana (chopped)
    2. Yogurt
    3. Milk
    4. Matcha (I mix it into the yogurt to make sure it blends well)
    5. Frozen berries
  2. Blend until you get a thick, smooth consistency
  3. Pour into bowl
  4. Add remaining banana (chopped)
  5. Top with a granola mix or trail mix of some sort for protein
