Crochet – DIY Wall Decor

Granny squares are SO versatile. Recently, I came across a pattern for a really interesting square design and I wanted to give it a try, but I didn’t know what I wanted to do with the squares. Once I had 3, it occurred to me that sometimes, a granny square is pretty enough to serve just that purpose — be pretty. I decided mine will likely go up as wall decor 🙂

You can check out the video tutorial here. I’d say this is intermediate level, and not too complicated. However, the colour swapping leads to a lot of ends to tie in, which is why I’m shying away from using this pattern to create a bigger project, like an afghan made up of several of these.
