Recipe – Sweet & Spicy Paprika Peanuts

Seasoning and roasting my own peanuts is one way that I make up for the fact that I can never buy fancy mixed nuts (I’m allergic to tree nuts, which really limits my options). Here’s my recipe for sweet & spicy paprika peanuts.

What you need:

  • Large baking dish (greased)
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 3 cups peanuts
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne (or to taste)

What to do:

  1. preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  2. Add water to egg white and whisk until frothy
  3. Add peanuts and mix well
  4. Add sugar, paprika, cayenne and mix well
  5. Spread peanuts onto greased baking dish
  6. Bake for 40 minutes, stirring halfway through
  7. Let cool for at least 10 minutes

Enjoy!

Tip: Store in air tight container to keep fresh
