Recipe – Dark Chocolate Coffee

In a post-holidays chocolate haze? There is so much of it in my house, I decided it was time to get creative… with my morning coffee.

What you need:

  • Coffee (preferably dark roast)
  • Half a square of dark chocolate (I used Lindt 70%)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Whipping cream (optional)

What to do:

  1. Make coffee as usual and keep it nice and hot
  2. In mug, break up the chocolate and add a cinnamon stick
  3. Pour coffee over chocolate and cinnamon
  4. For extra luxury, add cream – I just had whipping cream (35%) leftover from the holidays, so I went with a bit of that
  5. Stir until chocolate is melted
