Recipe – Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

I woke up with an autumn cold one morning and decided I required comfort food for breakfast – something, warm, hearty and quick! This is what I came up with.

What you need:

  • Pan
  • 1 apple (peeled and diced)
  • 1 tbs butter
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 serving of oatmeal (I used instant, see below):
    • 1/3 cup quick oats
    • 1/3 cup water
    • 1/3 cup milk

What to do:

  1. Melt butter in pan over medium heat
  2. Add apples, cinnamon and brown sugar
  3. Heat until tender (about 7 minutes)
  4. Meanwhile, make oatmeal as usual (I just microwave it)
  5. Top oatmeal with apple mixture
