I woke up with an autumn cold one morning and decided I required comfort food for breakfast – something, warm, hearty and quick! This is what I came up with.
What you need:
- Pan
- 1 apple (peeled and diced)
- 1 tbs butter
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 serving of oatmeal (I used instant, see below):
- 1/3 cup quick oats
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/3 cup milk
What to do:
- Melt butter in pan over medium heat
- Add apples, cinnamon and brown sugar
- Heat until tender (about 7 minutes)
- Meanwhile, make oatmeal as usual (I just microwave it)
- Top oatmeal with apple mixture
