Book Tag – Would You Rather? (Spooky Edition)

I can’t believe Halloween is tomorrow! I found this great tag on THE BIBLIOPHAGIST, and thought I’d squeeze out every last drop of October I could manage 🙂

THRILLERS OR SUPERNATURAL(S)?

I love a good thriller, BUT – I do tend to read more supernatural novels. For me, it all started with a mildly unhealthy Anne Rice addiction in middle school (though, I’m no longer infected).

GHOSTS OR ZOMBIES?

Zombies are my first love but these days I’ve been gravitating towards ghosts. After finishing Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House, I just bought myself a copy of the book – can’t wait!

VAMPIRES OR WEREWOLVES?

Vampires, but only because werewolf books keep letting me down. I want them to be better. As it stands, loving the graphic novel series American Vampire, and desperately needing to get caught up!

WITCHES OR MONSTERS?

Monsters – especially the classics

WOULD YOU RATHER READ A BOOK WITH 13 CHAPTERS OR WITH A BLACK CAT ON THE COVER?

Thirteen is a great number, but I can’t say no to a black cat

WOULD YOU RATHER READ A SPOOKY BOOK IN THE DARK WITH ONLY A CANDLE FOR LIGHT OR BY YOURSELF IN A LOCKED BRIGHTLY LIT ROOM?

Reading by candlelight is my favourite ambience (can you tell I have a kindle?). Throw in a classical noir playlist and I’m all set, any time of year.

WOULD YOU RATHER FACE YOUR WORST FEARS OR BE TRAPPED IN THE MIND OF A KILLER?

Worst fears, all the way. Unless being in the mind of a killer is my worst fear… this just got chillingly complicated.

WOULD YOU RATHER WATCH A SCARY MOVIE OR READ A SCARY BOOK?

Tough call… I’m a fan of both, but lately I’ve been reading more than watching. I’m currently reading Little Star and it’s really freaking me out!

WOULD YOU RATHER READ SPOOKY BOOKS DURING THE FALL TIME OR ALL YEAR?

I read them all year round, but I definitely make more of a point of it in the fall.

WOULD YOU RATHER READ 10 SPOOKY BOOKS IN OCTOBER OR 10 SPOOKY BOOKS ALL YEAR?

As great as 10 spooky books in October sounds, I don’t think I have the stamina or time. So, I’ll have to go with all year.
