Recipe: DIY Vanilla Spiced Coffee

You know that basic question, how do you take your coffee? Not so basic for me. I’m all over the map, and it entirely depends on my mood. Some days, I want my coffee french-pressed and black. Some days, I want my coffee french-pressed with a little something extra. Hmm… I guess french-pressed is a must. Well, on days when I’m looking for that something extra, I get experimental.

Here’s my recipe for a nice and simple vanilla spiced coffee.

In a french press, add:

  1. Ground coffee
  2. 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  3. 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  4. Hot water
  5. Let sit for 4 mins
  6. In your mug, add a cinnamon stick and pour the spiced coffee over it. This helps bring out the flavour.

I love this as is. I think the cinnamon is just the right amount of sweetness, but feel free to add sugar and/or milk as preferred 🙂

Enjoy!
