This conflict; so wicked.
To lose, so necessary to love.
A memory, not to be let go.
A disillusion, driving madness.
Pleasure knit in pain; masochism at its finest.
Lenore –
Forevermore calls out to me; Nevermore to be heard.

This poem was inspired by Edgar Allen Poe’s narrative poem, The Raven.
More Poe Stuff:
- A graphic novel adaptation of The Raven can be found in the book Edgar Allen Poe’s Spirits of the Dead
- Poe’s life and mysterious death are explored in the Stuff You Missed in History Class podcast episode, The Death of Poe
- Elaine Howlin featured The Raven-inspired makeup on her Literary Blog – a great idea for Halloween!
This was very interesting, addressing a poem to Lenore. You should do one from Lenore!! Like what if her spirit could see how mad her love have become?
